What Hardware Does PerfectMail Software on DVD Support?
PerfectMail Software on DVD supports a wide range of hardware including standard desktop PCs through
high end enterprise servers. Whether you reuse existing hardware or purchase a new server specifically for
PerfectMail, you are in complete control of the hardware you deploy.
- Entry Level
To keep costs down, simply install PerfectMail Software on DVD on an unused desktop computer. Our minimum
hardware requirements are; an Intel or AMD processor at 1.5ghz or faster, an
IDE or SATA disk 20GB or larger, 256mb of memory and one standard Ethernet NIC. A single layer
DVD reader will be needed to install PerfectMail.
- Mid Range
As your user population grows, redundancy and performance become more important. For best overall
protection, we suggest you use an entry level server that includes; an Intel or AMD processor running at
2.4ghz or faster, 512-1,024mb RAM, 80GB disk and a RAID-1 (mirror) disk array.
A single layer DVD reader will be needed to complete the installation.
- Enterprise
For maximum performance and redundancy, we recommend; one or two Dual Core Intel or AMD processors, 1GB or
2GB of memory, an accelerated disk array with a minimum of 160GB of usable capacity using 10,000 rpm
disks,
and dual redundant power supplies. An array controller with 256mb of onboard cache and a batter back up
unit will ensure maximum performance and protection.
